The fact is that one kilowatt (kW) always equals 1,000 watts of power
– no more, no less. That means their 15 kW generator can never provide
power for more than 15 kW of electrical loads at any one time. That’s
10,000 watts less than the Generac 25 kW.
So how can they claim to back up all of the circuits in a home with 25 kW
of electrical loads? They simply turn off and lock out 40% of the load at
any given time. Otherwise, they run the risk of overloading the generator.
