Next you will see two rows of buttons labeled Call CQ, Answer Caller, Send RRR, Answer
CQ, Send Report and Send 73. Working with these buttons you see two input boxes labeled
TX to Call Sign and Rpt (-#).
If you have double clicked a line in the decoder output TX to Call Sign should be populated
with the call sign you wish to contact while Rpt (-#) should be filled with the value of the signal
strength of the station being called. For example, say you double clicked the third line to
answer VE3ODZ's CQ.
If you fill in the box labeled TX to Call Sign and Rpt (-#) you can generate messages without need to double click
a line. I don't suggest using this 'manual' method until you have full understanding of how JT65 works. It's there
if you need it, but, generally the automatic setup of message by double clicking an output line is the easiest and
most accurate method.
TX to Call Sign will show VE3ODZ
Rpt (-#) will show -08
TX DF will change to 740, RX DF will change to 740 (because TX DF = RX DF is enabled)
TX Generated will show (in my case) VE3ODZ W6CQZ CM87
TX Even will be selected (since VE3ODZ is TX on Odd)
TX will be enabled along with the button for Halt TX
The caption “Message to TX:” will read VE3ODZ W6CQZ CM87
