RX DF enabled there is, at least, one case where it is exactly what you should not do. That
case is when calling CQ.
When calling CQ you have, hopefully, picked a clear spot in the pass band and receiving
answers to your call. Now... you get an answer and you double click the decoder line to
respond, but, you've left on TX DF = RX DF and the station calling you is at some offset to
your CQ offset... what happens? You move to match. Then when the station comes back to
you (assuming it has TX DF = RX DF enabled) it will have moved to match you. Then you
double click again and move....
See where I'm going? You could end up walking up or down the pass band if both sides of
the QSO is making TX DF moves. The easiest way to avoid this is to have TX DF = RX DF
unchecked thus 'locking' your TX offset.
