WINCH OPERATION - AIR REMOTE FREE-SPOOL

Follow these simple steps to

disengage the winch:

1. To disengage the winch clutch,

raise the Winch Control handle

to run the winch in the reverse

(reel out) direction until the load

is off the wire rope/cable. Never

move the free spool lever

while the wire rope/cable is

under load.

2. Move the free spool lever in the

control station up into the free

spool position.

3. Lower the Winch Control handle

to run the winch in the forward

(reel in) direction to disengage

the clutch. The winch clutch is

now disengaged and the wire

rope/cable may be pulled off by

hand.

WARNING:

Maintain a minimum of five (5)

wraps of wire rope/cable on the

winch drum at all times. Also

maintain a uniform wrap of wire

rope/cable on the drum to avoid

crushing of the wire rope/cable.

WARNING:

Always wear gloves when

handling wire rope/cable.
